Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 222 p4p, 126 weight class) and Kazuo Takashi (ranked 15 p4p, 10 weight class). Takashi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 吉田兄弟 Rising. Takeshi Yuudai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takashi swats away the attempt to clinch by Yuudai.

Yuudai moves into the clinch.
Takashi is trying to maintain a safe position but Yuudai gets an underhook and turns Takashi into the cage.

Yuudai manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Takashi passes into half guard.
Yuudai wants to control but Takashi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takashi slows the pace down in half guard.
Yuudai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Takashi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Takashi felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Yuudai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Yuudai goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Takashi has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yuudai but great work by Takashi.

Yuudai wants to clinch up but Takashi keeps it at a distance.
Yuudai tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Takashi swivels and escapes.
Yuudai shoots in for a double leg but Takashi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Yuudai takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Takeshi Yuudai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yuudai closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Takashi quickly recovers to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Yuudai or perhaps it was just good defense by Takashi, which made it look bad.

Kazuo Takashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Yuudai is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Takashi to keep the fight standing.

Kazuo Takashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Takashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
