The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golovin misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice straight punches there by Young. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Young.
Young misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Golovin.
Golovin throws a jab but it's blocked by Young.
Young throws a series of punches but Golovin moves out of range.

Golovin wants to clinch up but Young keeps it at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Young for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Young is pressed up against the cage. Golovin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Young down to the mat. Young avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Trey Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergey Golovin.

It looked like Young wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Golovin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Young.

Golovin shoots in looking for a takedown. Young tries to sprawl out of it but Golovin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Young manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Golovin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Golovin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Golovin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Golovin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Young but Young pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Young counters with a series of strikes. Golovin will be more careful next time no doubt.

Young lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Golovin circles away quickly and effectively.
Golovin darts in looking for a takedown but Young gets double underhooks and turns Golovin into the cage.

and Young counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Trey Young dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Golovin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
It looked like Young was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Golovin.
Golovin misses with a head kick.
Young lands a really nice looking cross but Golovin seems unphased.
Young lands a jab to Golovin's midsection.
Young lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Golovin circles away quickly and effectively.

Golovin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Young tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Young knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Golovin on the ground.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
