This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 6 losses; Pavel Savkov! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Rock clinches up against the cage. Rock jumps guard.
Savkov tries to free his leg and advance position but Rock is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rock keeping moving, preventing Savkov from controlling successfully. Savkov looking to pass the guard.
