This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 3 losses; Shaka Zulu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Evaristo Jesus! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Zulu clinches up with Jesus and pushes him back against the cage. Jesus is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Zulu turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Zulu (4) vs (0) Jesus Jesus is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jesus is trying to control Zulu's posture but Zulu avoids it. Zulu tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jesus's legs. Jesus keeping his opponent close. Zulu controlling the position from side mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jesus struggling a bit here. We've been hearing good reports from Zulu's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Zulu just content to control the position.

Zulu performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zulu prevents Jesus from improving his position. Jesus actively working from the bottom here. Zulu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jesus regains full guard. Nicely done. Zulu is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Jesus seems keen to control Zulu's posture. Zulu stands and throws Jesus's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jesus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Zulu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zulu is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jesus's shoulder. That is not cool. Jesus is looking for a sweep. Zulu tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Jesus tries to buck Zulu off but Zulu is having none of it. Zulu controlling from side mount. Jesus tries to improve position but can't. Jesus is still trying to improve position. Zulu will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Zulu controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zulu working away. Jesus prevents Zulu from moving into mount. Zulu taking a breather here. Zulu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jesus keeps working. Zulu moves into full mount! Score +2 for reaching mount: Zulu (9) vs (0) Jesus Jesus is desperately trying to improve his position but Zulu has a good base and remains in mount. Zulu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jesus wants to hold on but Zulu pushes him away. Jesus really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jesus tries to improve his position but Zulu has taken his back! Zulu has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Jesus tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Zulu pushes Jesus away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
