Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gajah Mada (ranked 24502 p4p, 6922 weight class) and Dylan Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mada comes to the cage accompanied by Fighter Mode. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gajah Mada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dylan Nolan!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mada tries to close the distance and clinch but Nolan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nolan lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Nolan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mada tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nolan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mada thinking.
Nolan throws a right hand that misses
and Mada counters with a nice body kick.
Mada lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mada tries for a takedown but Nolan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mada tries to close the distance and clinch but Nolan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nolan appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gajah Mada. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mada lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Mada dives in for a single leg takedown but Nolan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Nolan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Nolan counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Nolan is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mada presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mada wants to control the position but Nolan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Mada is controlling Nolan's trapped leg to prevent Nolan from advancing to side control.

Mada is concentrating on defense, preventing Nolan from advancing position.
Nolan wants to get back to his feet.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The fighters are battling for position here. Mada manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Mada wants to sweep here but Nolan controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Mada is looking for a triangle but Nolan pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Mada manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Mada escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mada throws a head kick that Nolan semi-blocks.
Nolan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nolan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Gajah Mada will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mada accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mada decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nolan, up you get!
Dylan Nolan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mada closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nolan circles away.
Nolan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mada shoots for a double leg takedown but Nolan sprawls well. He's pushed Mada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nolan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nolan wants it to stay on the feet.

Mada lands a leg kick that knocks Nolan off balance momentarily.
Nolan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nolan but Nolan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mada closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nolan is trying to work for a sweep but Mada has mounted him!

Mada lands strikes to the head.
Nolan is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mada's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nolan is in bad spot here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gajah Mada will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Mada bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nolan explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Mada forces Nolan back against the cage and clinches.

Mada escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Mada fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nolan sprawls well initially but Mada persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Nolan pushes Mada off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nolan keeps the fight on the outside.
Nolan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mada tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nolan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nolan unleashes a big counter combination but Mada bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Nolan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nolan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mada is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Gajah Mada overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nolan looking for a sweep. Not yet Nolan, not yet.

Mada decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nolan, up you get!
Nolan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Nolan gets tackled into the cage by Mada. Mada maintains the clinch.
Mada is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Nolan is defending well.

Mada has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Nolan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Nolan trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Nolan is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
The referee is taking a good look at Nolan as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Mada!
Nolan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

You can see the frustration on Nolan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mada controlling the position well here. Nolan rolled but Mada kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Mada is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Nolan has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Gajah Mada showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mada, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
