The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Mary looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Mary seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Salvacion wants to control but Mary is keeping busy.

Salvacion changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mary tries to avoid it but Salvacion manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mary to the ground. Mary escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mary is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Salvacion's shoulder. That is not cool.

Mary has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Mary shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mary thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Salvacion is looking to control Mary's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Salvacion avoid being mounted?
Mary is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Salvacion manages to get to full guard.
Mary is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Salvacion swats away the attempt to clinch by Mary.

Virgin Mary is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mary tries to score a power double leg takedown but Salvacion sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mary somewhat.
