Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Mckendrick !
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassidy clinches.
Cassidy has Mckendrick pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Cassidy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mckendrick tumbling to the mat - Cassidy dives into Mckendrick 's guard.
Mckendrick is wriggling around but Cassidy manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cassidy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mckendrick has managed to free his arm - good work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cassidy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mckendrick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cassidy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mckendrick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, if Cassidy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Cassidy is taking a breather. Mckendrick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cassidy gets a double leg takedown into Mckendrick 's guard.

Cassidy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cassidy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mckendrick on the ground.
Cassidy content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Mckendrick has locked up a guillotine! Mckendrick 's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Cassidy is holding on here and Mckendrick must be using up a lot of energy. Cassidy has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Mckendrick gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
