Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Fury (ranked 2787 p4p, 3399 weight class) and Steven Shewmaker (ranked 342 p4p, 409 weight class). Fury comes to the ring accompanied by Astronaut in the ocean. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shewmaker takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
It looks like Steven Shewmaker has been cut.
Shewmaker takes a body punch but keeps moving.
We've been hearing reports that Fury has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Shewmaker throws a series of punches but Fury avoids them all with ease.
Fury moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Fury scores with a decent looking hook.
Fury paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That has opened up Steven Shewmaker's cut even more.
