Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geraint Jones (ranked 5387 p4p, 4319 weight class) and Terry Bricard (ranked 544 p4p, 491 weight class). Terry Bricard will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Geraint Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terry Bricard!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch but Bricard is having none of it.
Bricard throws a counter combo.
We've been told by Jones's head coaches at JAG Battle Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bricard swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones.
Jones wants to clinch up but Bricard keeps it at a distance.
Bricard shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bricard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones keeping moving, preventing Bricard from controlling successfully.

Bricard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Bricard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jones drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bricard sprawls and moves away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bricard keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones has a takedown stuffed.
Bricard moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bricard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bricard breaks from the clinch.
Jones tries to clinch but Bricard moves away
and Bricard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Geraint Jones has been cut.
Bricard looking to score a takedown here. Jones is defending well but Bricard drives through and ends up in Jones's guard.
Jones not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bricard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bricard slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Jones.
Bricard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Bricard is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bricard lands a nice short elbow.

Still in half guard, Bricard seems content to control.
Bricard takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Bricard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Bricard lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bricard stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Good leg kick by Bricard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bricard closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.
Jones tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bricard's elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Terry Bricard dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Geraint Jones's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Bricard throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bricard lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Bricard thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Geraint Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bricard defends well and Jones ends up having to push Bricard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bricard escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Bricard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bricard throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bricard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bricard is adopting a defensive guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bricard looking for a sweep. Not yet Bricard, not yet.
Bricard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones wants to improve his position here. There's a bit of a scramble and Bricard has taken Jones's back! He's locked on a rear naked choke here and Jones has been forced to tap!
