Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kili Disson (ranked 2923 p4p, 2887 weight class) and Jim Lahey (ranked 295 p4p, 288 weight class). Jim Lahey will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Lahey!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Disson with a poor takedown
and Lahey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lahey connects with a single shot there.
Disson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lahey as he jumps to the side.
Disson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lahey is fending him off so far but Disson persists. Nope, Lahey circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kili Disson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Disson fails with the takedown
and Lahey counters with a crisp right hand that drops Disson! Lahey lets Disson back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Lahey has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Lahey counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Disson is rocked!
Lahey feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Disson sprawling to the canvas! Disson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lahey finish him?!
Oh Disson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Disson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lahey counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Lahey!
