Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Golles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Gomez!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golles looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Gomez misses with a low kick as Golles jumps back.
Golles shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Golles takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Gomez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Gomez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Golles tries to clinch but Gomez is having none of it.
Gomez misses with a takedown attempt - Golles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gomez scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Golles jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gomez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gomez stalling.
Golles pushes Gomez off looking to stand but Gomez dives back in and keeps control.
Gomez passes the guard and advances to mount!
Golles wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gomez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gomez scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Golles?
Gomez lands a big shot there that rocks Golles but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Golles is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gomez cracks Golles with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carlos Gomez!
