Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 6367 p4p, 2347 weight class) and Francisco Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 68 weight class). Frank Mir could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Francisco Rocha's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Francisco Rocha! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Rocha looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rocha is trying to improve his position. Mir is putting a hurting on Rocha here, landing some big shots from side control. Rocha tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Rocha looks winded! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mir working the head with strikes. Mir cracks Rocha with a big right hand but Rocha just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Mir closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rocha did well to prevent Mir getting side control. Mir wants to stand up but Rocha is controlling the position.

Mir is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir continues to stall. Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rocha's guard. Mir wants to control from the top but Rocha keeps moving. Rocha can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mir controls the pace. Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Rocha is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mir controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mir is posturing up here but Rocha has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mir tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mir has to tap! Slick submission there by Rocha!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Francisco Rocha! After the fight, Francisco Rocha was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
