Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Durden (ranked 951 p4p, 571 weight class) and Bruce White Jr (ranked 134 p4p, 81 weight class). Bruce White Jr has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abraham Durden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce White Jr!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick from Durden, right into the meat of the thigh.
White Jr throws a shot to the body.
White Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.

White Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Durden looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Durden is looking to reverse the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That's time! Durden's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Abraham Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

White Jr looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

White Jr walks forward, straight into a front kick from Durden.

White Jr looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

A thudding body kick lands there by Durden!
White Jr tried to score with a low kick but Durden checks it.
Durden is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

and White Jr counters with a low kick, right behind Durden 's knee.

Durden moves out of range as White Jr strikes.
White Jr tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Durden cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Durden throws out a leg kick but White Jr moves out of range and Durden only half commits.
White Jr misses the shot to the body.
White Jr moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Abraham Durden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
White Jr tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Durden defends well and White Jr ends up having to push Durden into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Durden on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A cross from Durden lands.
Durden fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt White Jr.
Durden tests White Jr's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Durden thumps White Jr with a low kick.
White Jr works Durden's body with a nice hook.
White Jr throws an overhand right that lands on Durden's shoulder, as Durden tries to avoid the shot.
Durden throws a hook to the side of White Jr's head but White Jr sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

White Jr throws a body punch but Durden moves out of range.
Durden is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Durden cracks White Jr with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and White Jr counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

White Jr is looking for a kimura but Durden is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for White Jr to get the leverage.

White Jr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Durden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

White Jr looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
White Jr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Durden's head.
Bruce White Jr has got the better of the ground game so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

White Jr wants to work for an arm triangle but Durden is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
White Jr is trying to control the action in half guard but Durden is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Durden wants to control but White Jr is keeping busy.
White Jr stalling away here and it's allowed Durden to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

White Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Durden.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

White Jr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Durden with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
