Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - machida looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
machida really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
machida looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Norris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Norris tries to pass the half guard into mount. machida knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Norris decides to stand and escape the position.
machida looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Norris keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Norris pushes machida off and gets back to his feet.

Norris throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like zejk machida has been cut.
Norris fails with the takedown.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Norris is not content to let machida control the position.
You can see the frustration on Norris's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norris manages to work his way to half guard, despite machida's best efforts.
Norris is staying active underneath machida, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Norris shoots in for a takedown but machida shows good takedown defense.
zejk machida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Norris.

machida has Norris up against the cage in a clinch.
Norris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as machida walks away with a smile on his face. Norris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

machida throws the left hand but Norris avoids the punch easily.
Norris gets the takedown into side control.

Norris has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
machida closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Norris wants to control the action here but instead machida manages to pass to full mount!
machida lands a big shot there that rocks Norris but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Norris is looking to improve his position but machida isn't that keen on the idea.

Norris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Norris connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Norris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Norris is trying to control the action in half guard but machida is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Norris seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. machida is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
