Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aster Ixtlan (ranked 3522 p4p, 4438 weight class) and Jack McGregson (ranked 458 p4p, 525 weight class). Jack McGregson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aster Ixtlan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack McGregson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGregson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
McGregson trying to control but Ixtlan is working from the bottom.
Ixtlan wants to sweep here but McGregson controlling him for the moment.

McGregson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ixtlan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ixtlan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ixtlan!

McGregson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Ixtlan is taking a breather. McGregson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
McGregson is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ixtlan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Ixtlan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so McGregson is just riding it out for now. Ixtlan eventually gives up the hold.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ixtlan tries to pass the half guard into mount. McGregson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGregson is looking to improve his position.

Ixtlan seems to be looking for submissions.
McGregson trying to hold on to Ixtlan's head to control him but Ixtlan postures up.
Ixtlan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on McGregson's thigh. McGregson counters though and makes it back to full guard.
McGregson looking for a sweep. Not yet McGregson, not yet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McGregson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Ixtlan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Ixtlan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McGregson is proving hard to escape from.

McGregson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ixtlan is aware though and is defending well.

McGregson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ixtlan defends well.
Ixtlan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Ixtlan throwing strikes but missing.

McGregson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ixtlan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ixtlan trying to control but McGregson is working from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

McGregson looking for a guillotine here but Ixtlan defends easily.
McGregson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ixtlan controlling from the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ixtlan is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Ixtlan stalks McGregson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McGregson's face. McGregson staggers backwards, shaken.
Ixtlan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McGregson doesn't seem bothered though.
McGregson wants to clinch up but Ixtlan keeps it at a distance.
Ixtlan scores with a sloppy right hand. McGregson should have avoided that one.
Ixtlan throws a shot to the body.
Ixtlan looks to land a right hand but McGregson moved out of range.
McGregson throws a hook to the side of Ixtlan's head but Ixtlan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McGregson throws a body punch but Ixtlan moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ixtlan punishes McGregson's body with a nice straight punch.
McGregson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ixtlan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ixtlan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ixtlan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
McGregson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ixtlan's waist but Ixtlan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McGregson off to one side.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aster Ixtlan dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ixtlan cracks McGregson with a good jab.
McGregson moves forwards but Ixtlan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ixtlan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ixtlan duly obliges.

McGregson is rocked!
Ixtlan wobbles McGregson with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Ixtlan dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts McGregson to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Aster Ixtlan!
Aster Ixtlan decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
