This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 1 losses; Rene Neri! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 20 wins and 15 losses; Paul Hunt!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Neri fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hunt to the ground. Neri is now in Hunt's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Neri (2) vs (0) Hunt
Neri drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hunt looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hunt looks to have wriggled free... It looks like Hunt might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

My spies in Helsinki Private Gym inform me that Hunt has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
