Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Juanito Cortez (ranked 4095 p4p, 4110 weight class) and Jesse Custer (ranked 532 p4p, 534 weight class). Jesse Custer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 33 - 1, fighting out of New York, Juanito Cortez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Custer! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cortez throws a body shot but no joy. Cortez connects with a solid leg kick. Cortez misses with a hook
and Custer counters with a nice leg kick. A low kick from Cortez misses and Custer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Custer chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Custer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Cortez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Cortez throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Custer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Cortez misses with a hook. Juanito Cortez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice cross by Cortez. Cortez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Custer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! An inside leg kick lands from Custer. Cortez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Custer can pounce on him.
Cortez fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Custer checks it well. Custer lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Cortez tries to bum rush Custer with a series of wild strikes but Custer uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A telegraphed right hand from Cortez misses the target. Cortez attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Cortez misses with an uppercut. Custer saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cortez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Custer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Cortez connects with a body shot. Cortez throws an off balance right hand
and Custer counters with a lovely shot to the body. Custer on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Cortez throws a leg kick that is checked and Custer counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Cortez throws a leg kick and Custer counters with a beautiful hook that drops Cortez to the mat! Will Cortez be able to recover his senses? The referee starts the count at 3 having sent Custer to a neutral corner. 4,5,6 and Cortez is up. He looks OK to continue.
Cortez is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Cortez glances at the clock... BAM! Custer nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Cortez crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Cortez is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jesse Custer! Our winner, Jesse Custer, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Juanito Cortez was interviewed post fight and said 'Well...shit happens....i will b back!'.
