Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between African King (ranked 2514 p4p, 1657 weight class) and Shamus Murphy (ranked 363 p4p, 257 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, African King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shamus Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from King lands but Murphy takes it in his stride.
Murphy thuds his shin into the meat of King's side.
King throws a body kick that misses
and Murphy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like African King has been cut.
King lands a high kick!
Nice body kick from King.
King ducks under a wild hook from Murphy.
African King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King connects with a high kick.
A head kick misses from King.
Murphy missing with a left hand there. King was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Murphy misses the jab.
King is looking to counter punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murphy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Murphy gets tackled into the cage by King. King maintains the clinch.

King has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Murphy uses from the top position.
King looking for subs off his back but Murphy has passed one foot through into half guard.

Murphy wants to stand but King has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
King tries to get to full guard but Murphy has control of the leg.

Murphy is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
King is looking for a sweep. Murphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like Murphy is going to stand back up.
King is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

King seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Shamus Murphy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Murphy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches King on the side of the head.

King fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Murphy avoids it really well and circles away.
King is looking to clinch.
King closes the distance but Murphy moves to the side
and Murphy counters with a thumping low kick.

and King takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
King is rocked!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for African King. That's going to take a lot out of him.

King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Murphy has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Murphy plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends King swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! King face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
