Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deontay DJ (ranked 2860 p4p, 1747 weight class) and Admir Bosnic (ranked 342 p4p, 219 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think DJ might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lil Scrappy - No Problem. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deontay DJ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Admir Bosnic! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DJ ducks down and throws a hook to the body. DJ misses with a kick to the body.
DJ fails to land with a series of punches.
Bosnic with the counter takedown but DJ avoids it easily. Bosnic dodges the punch combination from DJ.
DJ throws a lazy head kick and Bosnic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in DJ's guard. DJ is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bosnic is controlling him. DJ pushes Bosnic off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. DJ has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches) in the buildup to the fight. DJ misses with the body kick and Bosnic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in DJ's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! DJ wants to stand but Bosnic is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bosnic looking to pass the guard. Bosnic's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bosnic wants to pass the guard but DJ is keeping the position. Bosnic won't allow DJ to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. DJ scores with a three punch combo!
Bosnic feints and as DJ raises his hands in defense, Bosnic changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bosnic controls from within his opponent's guard. Bosnic trying to control but DJ is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DJ is adopting a defensive guard. Bosnic wants to control from the top but DJ keeps moving. Bosnic won't allow DJ to get back to his feet. Bosnic trying to control but DJ is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bosnic looking to sit in guard and control but DJ gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. DJ would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bosnic is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
DJ trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bosnic's guard. Bosnic looking for a sweep. Not yet Bosnic, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DJ has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bosnic is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. DJ decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bosnic, up you get! Bosnic tries to score a power double leg takedown but DJ sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bosnic somewhat. Deontay DJ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. DJ fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bosnic with the counter takedown but DJ avoids it easily. DJ delivers a nice body kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. DJ bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. No joy there for DJ, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
DJ lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Deontay DJ dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
DJ clinches. Bosnic turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! DJ tries to escape but Bosnic is in control. Bosnic tries for a kimura but DJ is defending well. DJ is trying to escape and get back to his feet. DJ explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! DJ connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. DJ rushes Bosnic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. DJ is leaning against Bosnic and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bosnic letting DJ take a breather here. DJ pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bosnic has his takedown stuffed and DJ counters with a nice uppercut. Bosnic shoots in for a takedown but DJ shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bosnic takes a kick to the side of the head. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting DJ here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Bosnic fails with a takedown attempt. Deontay DJ has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Admir Bosnic.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bosnic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but DJ avoids it really well and circles away. Bosnic's coach down at Westside Martial Arts was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bosnic's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. DJ lands with an uppercut that bounces Bosnic off the cage and back into range. DJ lands a left and a right that send Bosnic crashing to the mat, dazed. DJ thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! DJ misses with a head kick.
Bosnic changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. DJ misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bosnic fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. DJ looks to land a combination but Bosnic avoids it well. Bosnic tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. DJ drops Bosnic with a beautiful combination! Bosnic stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - DJ is looking for the KO!
It looks like Admir Bosnic has been cut. DJ connects with a solid leg kick. DJ feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Bosnic collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Deontay DJ! After winning the bout, Deontay DJ thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
