Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ciro Insigne (ranked 4698 p4p, 4758 weight class) and JJ Olatunji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ciro Insigne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, JJ Olatunji! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Olatunji closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Insigne quickly recovers to half guard. Olatunji sitting and controlling from the half guard. Insigne wants to control but Olatunji is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Insigne manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Olatunji tries to free his leg and advance position but Insigne is retaining full guard. Insigne avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Insigne throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Insigne wants to sweep here but Olatunji controlling him for the moment. Insigne is looking to sweep but instead, Olatunji has passed into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Insigne is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Olatunji is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Olatunji changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Insigne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Insigne wants to control but Olatunji postures up. Olatunji wants to control but Insigne is keeping him busy. Olatunji working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Insigne is trying to control Olatunji's posture but Olatunji avoids it. Olatunji with the ground and pound but Insigne regains half guard under the barage of strikes. That's three minutes gone in the round. Olatunji escapes and gets back to his feet. Insigne fails with the takedown and Olatunji counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Olatunji wants a takedown but no success here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Olatunji changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Insigne fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Insigne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Insigne gets in close and instigates a clinch. Insigne blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Olatunji jumps guard and drags Insigne to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Insigne trying to control the position from guard on top but Olatunji is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Insigne preventing the sweep. Insigne decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Olatunji, up you get! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Insigne displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Olatunji. Ciro Insigne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ Olatunji. Olatunji clinches up with Insigne and pushes him back against the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

"I don't think so" says Olatunji as he avoids it easily. No luck for Insigne with that takedown attempt. Olatunji tries a head kick but it misses.
Olatunji clinches up against the cage. Olatunji wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Insigne has him pressed against the cage. Insigne is looking to break free of the clinch but Olatunji has double underhooks. Insigne working aggressively here.

Olatunji is trying to drag Insigne to the mat but Insigne just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Insigne jumps guard but Olatunji turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ciro Insigne. That's going to take a lot out of him. Insigne has had enough of the clinch but Olatunji keeps him there for the moment. Olatunji lands a right hand. Olatunji with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Olatunji. Insigne prevents Olatunji from breaking the clinch. Olatunji gets underhooks to prevent Insigne's takedown attempt.

Insigne trying to control but Olatunji is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Insigne accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Olatunji is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Insigne controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Insigne is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Olatunji is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Olatunji has escaped and now he's on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Insigne has his feet on Olatunji's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Insigne avoids the head kick by Olatunji.
Olatunji dives in and grabs Insigne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Insigne pushes down on Olatunji's head and hops out. Insigne gets tackled into the cage by Olatunji. Olatunji maintains the clinch. Insigne can't get the takedown.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Olatunji looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Olatunji is breathing heavily. Olatunji wants to control the position but Insigne says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
JJ Olatunji showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Olatunji throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Olatunji has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Insigne moves in looking to clinch but Olatunji pushes him off. Olatunji moves into range and clinches up with Insigne. Stalling in the clinch from Olatunji.

We're back to striking at a distance. Insigne fails to land the takedown. Olatunji shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Insigne manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Insigne thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Olatunji seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Insigne does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. JJ Olatunji has got the better of the ground game so far. Insigne controlling the position for now. Insigne trying to control from the bottom.

Olatunji throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Insigne is working an open guard so Olatunji takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Insigne is looking to clinch but Olatunji is avoiding it.
Insigne shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Olatunji counters with a series of strikes. Insigne will be more careful next time no doubt. Insigne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Olatunji paws at him with a jab and circles away. Olatunji is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Olatunji shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Olatunji not doing much here.

Olatunji is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Insigne defends it well. Insigne is trying to maintain the position but Olatunji is very close to passing his half guard. Ciro Insigne has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! JJ Olatunji is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Olatunji controlling the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! JJ Olatunji comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Olatunji has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
