Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Congo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Obama!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Congo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Obama on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Congo tries a head kick but it misses.
Congo throws a body kick that misses.
Obama dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Obama with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Congo walks into a straight right hand from Obama.
It looks like Roberto Congo has been cut.
Obama throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Congo. Obama does a little dance to reset his feet.
A jab from Obama misses.
Congo moves out of range of the strikes.
Congo connects with the punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Obama ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice shot by Obama.
Tom Obama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Obama cracks Congo with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Congo get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Congo looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Obama misses with a looping left.
Congo walks into a big right hand from Obama and goes down! The referee sends Obama to a neutral corner as Congo gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Roberto Congo's cut is getting worse.
Obama jabs at Congo's body.
Congo scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Obama throws a looping overhand right but Congo ducks down to avoid it.
Obama swings away with a body shot that misses
and Congo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Congo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Congo is breathing heavily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Obama. Congo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Obama throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Obama jabs Congo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Obama throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Congo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Obama.
Obama throws the left hand but Congo avoids the punch easily.
Obama comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Obama fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Congo manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Congo.
Obama throws an overhand right that lands on Congo's shoulder, as Congo tries to avoid the shot.
Congo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Obama circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Congo tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Obama wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tom Obama!
A very excited looking Tom Obama rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
