Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mako Akumba (ranked 2708 p4p, 18112 weight class) and Steel Penn Jr (ranked 365 p4p, 691 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mako Akumba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steel Penn Jr! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akumba throws a nice looking combination but Penn Jr bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Penn Jr! But no joy. Penn Jr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Akumba works over Penn Jr's head and body with a nice combination. A solid leg kick lands there for Akumba.
Penn Jr lands with a nice body punch. Akumba keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
It looked like Akumba was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Penn Jr moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Mako Akumba has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Penn Jr throws a right hand that Akumba ducks under and follows up with a left that Akumba also avoids with ease. Akumba avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akumba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Penn Jr.
Akumba appears to be looking for a big counter. Akumba misses with a jab, cross combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Penn Jr! But no joy. Akumba throws a body shot but no joy. Penn Jr clips Akumba with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Akumba a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout. Akumba tries to bum rush Penn Jr with a series of wild strikes but Penn Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Akumba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A cross from Akumba lands. Akumba throws a leg kick that is checked and Penn Jr counters with a straight right that drops Akumba to the canvas! Will Akumba beat the count? He's still wobbly and as the count reaches 7, he's still struggling to make it. 8...9...10. He's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Steel Penn Jr! After the fight, Steel Penn Jr was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. In defeat, Mako Akumba stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be helping Soyster with his gym, and I look forward to that part of my career.'.
