Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darrell Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Sherk!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherk closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Johnson enables Sherk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Johnson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Johnson is working an open guard so Sherk takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Johnson scores with the left hand. Sherk knows he should have avoided that one.
Sherk shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sherk showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sherk content to control rather than advance.
Let's hope that Sherk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Sherk is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sherk works his way into full mount!

Sherk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

It looks like Darrell Johnson has been cut.
The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Sherk lands a big elbow.

Jeez, Darrell Johnson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Darrell Johnson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
