Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Chonen (ranked 2842 p4p, 1816 weight class) and Slick Sanchez (ranked 163 p4p, 106 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryo Chonen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Slick Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Chonen misses. Slick Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chonen. Nice body punch from Chonen. Chonen throws a hook but Sanchez avoids it easily. Chonen slips a jab and a cross from Sanchez.
It looked like Chonen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Chonen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. A punch combination from Sanchez misses. Chonen moves away from the strike by Sanchez. Chonen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Sanchez takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Slick Sanchez has been cut. Good shot there by Chonen. A jab from Chonen finds it's way through Sanchez's defenses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chonen throws an overhand right that lands on Sanchez's shoulder, as Sanchez tries to avoid the shot. Chonen throws a shot from downtown. Sanchez moves away and avoids it. Chonen lands a nice hook to Sanchez's body. Sanchez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The fighters circling - Chonen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Sanchez throws a right and a left that both miss. Chonen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanchez misses with a straight left. Sanchez missing with a left hand there. Chonen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez misses with a wild combination.
Sanchez throws an off balance right hand
and Chonen counters with a nice right hand that sends Sanchez toppling to the canvas! Sanchez scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Chonen finish him?!
Sanchez is rocked! Chonen fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Sanchez square on the jaw! Damn, Sanchez is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryo Chonen! A very excited looking Ryo Chonen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
