Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junior Barbosa (ranked 3073 p4p, 3969 weight class) and Pooky Steve (ranked 425 p4p, 523 weight class). Junior Barbosa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pooky Steve's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steve changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Barbosa tries to avoid it but Steve manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Barbosa to the ground. Barbosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Steve shoots in but Barbosa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Barbosa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Steve doesn't seem bothered though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Steve.
Junior Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pooky Steve.
Steve shoots in for a takedown but Barbosa shows good takedown defense.
Steve looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Steve tries to clinch but Barbosa is having none of it.

Steve shoots in and bounces Barbosa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Barbosa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Steve blocks a jab.
And Steve responds with a good body kick, but Barbosa manages to step out the way in time.

It looks like Pooky Steve has been cut.

Barbosa lands a big right hand that sends Steve crashing to the mat! Barbosa stays standing though and waves Steve back to his feet!

and Barbosa counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Steve out cold! What a finish! Barbosa is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
