Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stan Shamrock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Javier Pinales!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Javier Pinales has been cut.

Pinales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shamrock sprawls well. Shamrock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pinales gets slowly back to his feet.
Stan Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shamrock throws a right hand that Pinales ducks under and follows up with a left that Pinales also avoids with ease.
Shamrock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shamrock wants it to stay on the feet.

You can see the frustration on Pinales's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pinales has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Shamrock is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pinales.
