Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Kushnirov (ranked 880 p4p, 1566 weight class) and Peguero Jean Philippe (ranked 130 p4p, 232 weight class). Philippe has chosen Chant vaudou haitien as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Kushnirov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
A bone on bone clash there as Philippe blocks the leg kick.
Philippe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Kushnirov.
The crowd cheers as Philippe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kushnirov doesn't seem phased though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kushnirov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Philippe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Philippe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kushnirov is holding his hands too far apart here. Philippe throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Kushnirov is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
