Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Connor Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Pack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dee Pack! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pack feints and as Ryan raises his hands in defense, Pack changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ryan throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ryan working a defensive guard here.
Pack trying to control the position from guard on top but Ryan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pack might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ryan kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Pack distracts Ryan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pack wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving. Pack throws a strike but Ryan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Ryan scoring with punches to the head and body. Ryan tries to free his leg and advance position but Pack is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan trying to control but Pack is working from the bottom. Ryan looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ryan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pack should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ryan trying to control but Pack is working from the bottom. Ryan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ryan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ryan misses with a straight left. Ryan throws a hook to the side of Pack's head but Pack sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pack shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ryan pinned against the cage. Ryan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pack tries to clinch but Ryan moves out of range. Ryan gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Ryan keeping moving, preventing Pack from controlling successfully. Pack pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ryan is keeping the position for now. Pack trying to control but Ryan is working from the bottom. Pack trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Pack passes Ryan's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pack looks gassed! Pack tries to stand and escape but Ryan actually recovers to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ryan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ryan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pack trying to control here.
Ryan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ryan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ryan lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ryan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ryan is looking to take a break and control but Pack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nice strikes from Ryan there. Ryan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pack is working to get back to half guard.
Ryan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pack is looking to escape. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ryan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That was a close round but I would say that Connor Ryan will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

It looks like Connor Ryan has been cut. Pack landing strikes from the mount. Oh Ryan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ryan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. This has been an exciting period of action! Pack controlling from mount. Pack punishing his opponent with strikes. Pack stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Ryan seems to have got his legs back now. Ryan walks into a straight right hand from Pack. Pack fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ryan sprawls well initially but Pack persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ryan actively working from the bottom here. Still in half guard, Pack seems content to control. Ryan manages to get to full guard.
Ryan has momentary wrist control but Pack slips an elbow through the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan looking for a sweep. Not yet Ryan, not yet. Pack must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ryan is trying to keep Pack in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ryan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ryan wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ryan keeping moving, preventing Pack from controlling successfully. Ryan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pack's guard. Pack is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dee Pack has got the better of the ground game so far. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pack utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pack is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Pack. Ryan throws up a few punches. Pack stands up. Nice combo by Pack! Oh, that's hurt him - Ryan falls to the canvas and Pack follows him into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pack decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ryan misses with a straight left. Pack throws a lazy uppercut
and Ryan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A leg kick checked by Pack. Pack looks to clinch and Ryan counters with a right hand to the body. Ryan lands a nice shot to the body.

Ryan loads up on a big right hand but Pack slips the punch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pack with a lazy takedown attempt and Ryan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pack thinking. Ryan scores with a nice right hand.

Dee Pack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Connor Ryan's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Ryan misses with a looping right. Ryan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pack. Pack ducks down and throws a hook to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pack doesn't succeed with the takedown and Ryan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dee Pack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan scores with a hook. Dee Pack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ryan misses with a left hand and Pack counters with a right hand to the body. Pack shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ryan's guard. Ryan trying to keep a closed guard but Pack is proving a slippery customer.

and Ryan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ryan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
