Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Green (ranked 844 p4p, 1582 weight class) and Bosque Trabuco (ranked 113 p4p, 208 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bosque Trabuco!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trabuco clinches with his opponent.
Trabuco gets underhooks to prevent Green's takedown attempt.
Green definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Trabuco lands an elbow just above Green 's eye.
Green is trying to pull guard but Trabuco has him pressed against the cage.
Trabuco pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Green is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Trabuco is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trabuco lands an elbow inside that Green shrugs off.
Trabuco lands an elbow that stopped Green in his tracks for a moment.
Green takes an elbow to the temple.
Green tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Trabuco struggles to land a body shot inside as Green controls his hands.
Trabuco's coach down at Tez’s Stand N Bang ! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Trabuco's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Green has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Trabuco after a bit of a struggle.
Trabuco gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Green is trying to pull guard but Trabuco has him pressed against the cage.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Trabuco's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Trabuco lands a hook that snaps the head of Green backwards.
Trabuco comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Green is trying to pull guard but Trabuco turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Trabuco is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Trabuco stands up over Green, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Trabuco must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Trabuco postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Trabuco is working Green over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Trabuco got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trabuco has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.

Trabuco stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Green can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Trabuco controls the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Green looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Trabuco trying to control but Green is working from the bottom.
Green looking to control.
Trabuco controls from within his opponent's guard.
Let's hope that Trabuco has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Trabuco's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Trabuco missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Green is looking for a triangle but Trabuco pushes his legs off easily.
Trabuco lands a couple of digs.
Trabuco stays in close to Green's body and controls the position.
Trabuco loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trabuco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Green looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Green is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Trabuco stands up over Green, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Green manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Trabuco manages to get himself to full guard.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bosque Trabuco dominated that round.
That's time! Green's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Trabuco closes the distance and clinches.
Green is working for takedown but Trabuco is calmly controlling the position for now.
Trabuco has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Green changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Trabuco fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ed Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Trabuco holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Green is trying to get an arm triangle but Trabuco is defending well.
Trabuco tries to bench press Green off him but Green keeps the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Green thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Trabuco is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Green is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Trabuco has escaped the position, nice work there.

Green is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Trabuco is trying to escape and Green transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Trabuco is forced to tap! Nice work there by Green! Very nice indeed!
