Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Odd Job (ranked 2076 p4p, 829 weight class) and Daron Acemoglu (ranked 285 p4p, 127 weight class). Daron Acemoglu has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Odd Job's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Odd Job! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daron Acemoglu! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Job. Acemoglu lands a lovely overhand right. Acemoglu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Job tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Job is looking to improve his position but Acemoglu isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Job takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Acemoglu prevents Job from getting the reversal. Acemoglu unloading with bombs! Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Acemoglu with shots to the head and body - Job looks very uncomfortable down there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Job tries to lock up and control but Acemoglu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Job taking shots to the head. Job manages to regain half guard. Good work. Acemoglu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acemoglu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Acemoglu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Job gets back to full guard.
Acemoglu missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Job utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Acemoglu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Job is trying to control the position but Acemoglu postures up. Job looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Job is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Acemoglu lands a couple of decent looking shots. Acemoglu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Job has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Acemoglu has managed to get both his arms back between Job's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Acemoglu with a flurry of punches that miss. Acemoglu scoring with some ground and pound. Acemoglu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Acemoglu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Job works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Job is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Acemoglu scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Job manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Acemoglu manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Job postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Job scoring with punches to the head and body. Job thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've been hearing good reports from Job's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Acemoglu is on top in guard.

Job thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Acemoglu has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Tez’s Stand N Bang !. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Acemoglu working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Acemoglu must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Acemoglu is in close to Job's body, working some short punches and elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Acemoglu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Job is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Job keeping moving, preventing Acemoglu from controlling successfully. Job is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Acemoglu is aware though and is defending well. Acemoglu connects with a couple of short punches. Acemoglu trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Acemoglu throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Acemoglu accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Daron Acemoglu dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Acemoglu drives through with a takedown into Job's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Acemoglu postures up in Job's guard and throws a big left but Job blocks it. Job is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Acemoglu has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Job preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Acemoglu trying to control but Job is working from the bottom. Daron Acemoglu has got the better of the ground game so far. Job is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Job can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Acemoglu controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Acemoglu landing with the ground and pound. Acemoglu throws a strike but Job rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Acemoglu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Job wants to control from the top but Acemoglu keeps moving. Acemoglu looking for a sweep. Not yet Acemoglu, not yet. Job drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Job jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Job won't allow Acemoglu to sweep him here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Acemoglu is on top in guard.
Job is looking for a triangle but Acemoglu pushes his legs off easily.
Job is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Job controls Acemoglu momentarily but Acemoglu frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Acemoglu lands a couple of elbows. Job looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Job has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Acemoglu should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Job has tightened it up now! Acemoglu should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
