Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ed Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kofi Ousmane!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green fails with the takedown.
Ousmane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Green tries to avoid it but Ousmane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Green to the ground. Green escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ousmane lands with a good body shot.
Green uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ousmane.
Ousmane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Green definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Ousmane fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ed Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kofi Ousmane.
Green is looking to clinch.
Green misses with a head kick.
Green shoots for a double leg takedown but Ousmane sprawls well. He's pushed Green's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ousmane shoots in but no luck this time.
Green changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ousmane looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Green is fending him off so far but Ousmane persists. Nope, Green circles away and we're back to standing.
Green attempts a counter takedown but Ousmane avoids it well and moves away.
Green will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Green feints and as Ousmane raises his hands in defense, Green changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ousmane wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ousmane manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ousmane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ousmane is pulling down on Green's head. It's preventing any offense from Green, at least for the moment.
Green won't allow Ousmane to sweep him here.
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Ousmane is retaining full guard.
Ousmane working a defensive guard but Green passes into half guard.
Green wants to free his trapped foot but Ousmane is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ousmane wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ousmane keeping hold of Green's head, controlling as best he can.

Ousmane wants to control the action here but instead Green manages to pass to full mount!
Green wants to take Ousmane's back here but Ousmane is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Ousmane is wriggling around trying to escape.
Green with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Green has hold of Ousmane's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Ousmane manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ousmane felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Green with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Green working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Ousmane is desperately trying to improve his position but Green has a good base and remains in mount.
Green fails to take his opponent's back.

Green is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ousmane to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ousmane shrugs it off.

Ousmane is trying to control the position here but Green swings around for an armbar and he's got it! This one is all over, courtesy of a slick submission by Green!
