Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gajah Mada (ranked 5324 p4p, 4958 weight class) and Jim Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mada comes to the cage accompanied by Fighter Mode. Gajah Mada has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gajah Mada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Robertson! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robertson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mada sprawls well initially but Robertson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mada manages to escape and get back to his feet! Mada throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Robertson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mada has a takedown stuffed. Robertson tries to keep at a distance but Mada has taken the fight into the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Mada. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Mada taking a breather. Robertson is trying to break the clinch but Mada has him pressed against the cage. Robertson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Robertson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mada throws Robertson to one side and escapes!
That's one minute gone in the round. Robertson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Gajah Mada has been cut. Robertson is looking to land body kicks. Mada throws a big counter combination but Robertson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Mada fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Robertson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Robertson breaks the clinch.
Mada closes this distance looking for a takedown but Robertson circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gajah Mada. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice leg kick from Mada, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mada digs a good body shot into Robertson's ribs. Horrible takedown attempt by Robertson or perhaps it was just good defense by Mada, which made it look bad. Mada uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Robertson.
Mada changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. This has been an exciting period of action! Mada tries to score a power double leg takedown but Robertson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mada somewhat. Mada has a takedown stuffed. Mada tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mada takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mada throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Mada wants to clinch. Robertson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Mada shoots in but no luck this time. Mada tries to close the distance and clinch but Robertson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. No joy there for Robertson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mada. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Robertson! But no joy. Robertson forces Mada back against the cage and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robertson breaks the clinch.
Mada dives in and scores a takedown into Robertson's guard. Mada stands up and waves to Robertson to follow him. Mada wants to clinch. Mada misses with a head kick.
Robertson looks to land a right hand but Mada moved out of range. Some wild striking there from Robertson.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jim Robertson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gajah Mada's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Mada blocks a head kick by Robertson.
Robertson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Mada counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Mada gets in close and instigates a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Robertson's face as he tries to break the clinch. Robertson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mada wants to clinch up but Robertson keeps it at a distance. Robertson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Mada with a body shot. Robertson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mada. Sloppy strikes from Robertson. Those never looked like landing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robertson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Robertson darts in looking for a takedown but Mada gets double underhooks and turns Robertson into the cage. Mada attempts a counter takedown but Robertson avoids it well and moves away. Jim Robertson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Gajah Mada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robertson misses with a head kick.
Mada tries to close the distance and clinch but Robertson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Robertson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Mada throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Robertson was covering up waiting for the punch and Mada finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mada looking to sit in guard and control but Robertson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Robertson looking to pass the guard. Robertson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mada is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Robertson is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Robertson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mada looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mada looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mada! Robertson is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mada is one step ahead and moves to full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mada postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Robertson looks a forlorn figure.
Mada looking to control but Robertson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Robertson is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robertson tries to improve his position but instead Mada has taken his back! Mada really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Robertson. Mada wants to control but Robertson is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mada lands a shot to the body. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Robertson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mada's guard. Nice work there by Robertson.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Robertson postures up.
Robertson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mada dives on top into guard.
Mada avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gajah Mada dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Gajah Mada's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Mada shoots in for a double leg but Robertson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mada dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Mada feints a jab promting Robertson to slip. Mada then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Robertson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Mada ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Robertson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Mada sprawling to the canvas. Robertson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Mada hang on?
Mada is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Robertson uses his free foot to push down on Mada's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mada. Oh Mada is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Robertson working for a guillotine from mount but Mada is in no mood to give up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robertson lands a big elbow. Mada taking shots to the head. Robertson has hold of Mada's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mada manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Robertson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Mada scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Robertson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Robertson stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Robertson! The defeated Gajah Mada had this to say: 'World please forgive Me'.
