Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Jenkins (ranked 3206 p4p, 4987 weight class) and The Ultimate Warrior (ranked 311 p4p, 413 weight class). Samuel Jenkins had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Ultimate Warrior!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warrior dodges the punch combination from Jenkins.
Warrior lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jenkins misses with a takedown
and Jenkins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jenkins misses with a right hand
and Warrior connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jenkins tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Warrior is able to avoid easily.
Warrior lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jenkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jenkins misses with a takedown attempt - Warrior sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Despite the aggression on Warrior's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jenkins tries a head kick but it misses.
Warrior is looking for the big counter here.
A slow jab from Jenkins misses its intended target.
Jenkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jenkins shoots in and drives through. Warrior sprawls well.
Warrior unleashes a big counter combination but Jenkins bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

I was talking to Jenkins's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Warrior lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Warrior lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jenkins backwards.
Warrior content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Jenkins misses with a hook from the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Warrior - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jenkins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Warrior gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Warrior lands with a light punch inside.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Warrior is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Warrior pushes Jenkins back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Warrior lands with a short shot to the head.

Jenkins breaks the clinch.
Jenkins tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Warrior defends well and Jenkins ends up having to push Warrior into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Warrior lands with a left to the head.
Warrior lands a right hand.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Jenkins drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Warrior lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Jenkins has Warrior pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Warrior manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Warrior creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Still in the clinch, Warrior scores with a nice short uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jenkins is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Warrior gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Warrior pushes Jenkins back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Warrior lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Warrior lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jenkins backwards.

Jenkins is rocked!
Warrior lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Oh Jenkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Warrior gets through Jenkins's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Warrior lands a body punch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Warrior taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Jenkins is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Jenkins seems to have got his legs back now.
Warrior makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Warrior leaning his opponent against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Warrior.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The Ultimate Warrior dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Some wild striking there from Jenkins.
Jenkins throws the left hand but Warrior avoids the punch easily.

Jenkins shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Warrior manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jenkins seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jenkins distracts Warrior with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jenkins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jenkins won't allow Warrior to get back to his feet.
Warrior looking for a sweep. Not yet Warrior, not yet.

Warrior wants to stand but Jenkins is controlling the position.
Warrior looking to control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Warrior can do anything to dispel that myth.

Warrior looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jenkins forces his way into half guard.
Jenkins passes to side control.
Warrior struggling a bit here.
Warrior tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jenkins is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Warrior looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jenkins gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Warrior is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jenkins lets go of the hold and Warrior can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Samuel Jenkins spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
