Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dezmond Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mr Mojo Risin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Risin misses the jab.
Drake throws a sloppy body shot
and Risin counters with a straight right hand.
Risin sizes up Drake with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Risin gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Risin lands a left and a right that send Drake crashing to the mat, dazed. Risin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Drake is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drake loads up on a big right hand but Risin slips the punch.
Oh Drake is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Risin moves out of range as Drake strikes.
Risin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Drake uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Drake throws a series of punches but Risin moves out of range.
Risin jabs at Drake's body.
Risin misses with a right hand
and Drake counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Drake seems to have got his legs back now.
Drake loads up on a big right hand but Risin slips the punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Risin.
Drake lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Risin circles away quickly and effectively.
Risin misses with a low kick as Drake jumps back.
Drake gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Risin gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Drake is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr Mojo Risin!
