Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Pawlikowski (ranked 24139 p4p, 23346 weight class) and Samuel Pleimelding (ranked 691 p4p, 702 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Pawlikowski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Pleimelding! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pleimelding closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pleimelding wants to pass to mount but Pawlikowski is defending the position. Pleimelding looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pawlikowski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Pleimelding is nestled in close to Pawlikowski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Pawlikowski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pleimelding thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pawlikowski wants to control but Pleimelding is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pleimelding has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Pleimelding is keen to just control but Pawlikowski is a slippery customer. Pleimelding is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pleimelding thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pleimelding lands strikes from half guard. Pawlikowski trying to control but Pleimelding postures up.
Pleimelding working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Pleimelding. Pawlikowski wants to improve his position but Pleimelding is controlling well.
Nice strikes from Pleimelding there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pleimelding lands a nice short elbow. Pawlikowski pushes Pleimelding off and gets back to his feet. Pleimelding closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pawlikowski circles away. Pleimelding keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pleimelding gets a double leg takedown into Pawlikowski's guard. Pawlikowski keeping moving, preventing Pleimelding from controlling successfully. Pawlikowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pleimelding lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pleimelding with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pleimelding content to stall in guard here. Pleimelding working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Pleimelding postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pleimelding connects with a couple of short punches. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pleimelding landing with the ground and pound.
Pawlikowski is rocked! Pleimelding landing with the ground and pound. Oh Pawlikowski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pleimelding scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Pleimelding seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pleimelding's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pleimelding stands up over Pawlikowski, holding on to his feet. Pleimelding throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Pawlikowski is out cold! Pleimelding lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Samuel Pleimelding! A less than humble Samuel Pleimelding misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
