Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maro Pjetlic (ranked 293 p4p, 119 weight class) and Amaru Kawiwasulu (ranked 49 p4p, 17 weight class). Pjetlic comes to the cage accompanied by Legend. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Maro Pjetlic! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Amaru Kawiwasulu! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kawiwasulu throws an off balance right hand
and Pjetlic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kawiwasulu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Pjetlic jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kawiwasulu drops his hands momentarily and Pjetlic takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A swing and a miss from Kawiwasulu. A counter left hand to the body from Pjetlic misses its target. Kawiwasulu tries to clinch there but Pjetlic circles away.

and Pjetlic counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oooooh!!! Pjetlic has knocked Kawiwasulu down with a huge combo! Pjetlic steps away and waves a wobbly Kawiwasulu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pjetlic walks into a straight right hand from Kawiwasulu. Kawiwasulu misses with a hook. Pjetlic was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kawiwasulu throws an overhand right that lands on Pjetlic's shoulder, as Pjetlic tries to avoid the shot. Kawiwasulu misses with a lunging right hand
and Pjetlic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kawiwasulu is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pjetlic. Pjetlic loads up on a big right hand but Kawiwasulu slips the punch. Kawiwasulu let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Pjetlic throws a right hand that Kawiwasulu ducks under and follows up with a left that Kawiwasulu also avoids with ease. Pjetlic is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Pjetlic ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pjetlic lands a jab to the nose. Kawiwasulu moves forwards but Pjetlic connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kawiwasulu tries to close the distance and clinch but Pjetlic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pjetlic lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Kawiwasulu is looking to close the distance but Pjetlic sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Kawiwasulu crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Kawiwasulu is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Maro Pjetlic! Maro Pjetlic is the new heavyweight champion! Maro Pjetlic decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
