Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Ruromsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luke Soza!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ruromsky closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ruromsky lands a nice short elbow.
Soza is trying to stand back up but Ruromsky is controlling him
Ruromsky is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Ruromsky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Soza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Ruromsky is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Soza sees it coming and defends easily.
Soza is trying to maintain the position but Ruromsky is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ruromsky lands a nice short elbow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruromsky looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Soza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ruromsky not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ruromsky throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Soza to regain full guard.
Soza utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ruromsky landing some decent shots from guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Soza is trying to control the position but Ruromsky postures up.
Ruromsky missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ruromsky distracts Soza with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Ruromsky has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ruromsky in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ruromsky throws a strike but Soza rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ruromsky keeping moving, preventing Soza from controlling successfully.
Ruromsky working a defensive guard but Soza passes into half guard.
Ruromsky flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Soza wants to control but Ruromsky is keeping him busy.
Ruromsky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soza on the ground.
Soza uses his free foot to push down on Ruromsky's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ruromsky.
Ruromsky tries to lock up and control but Soza gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ruromsky is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Ruromsky wants to control but Soza is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Soza punching from mount but Ruromsky doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Soza trying to control but Ruromsky is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soza lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ruromsky hang on?
Soza thowing shots but they're missing.

Ruromsky is trying to control the position here but Soza swings around for an armbar and he's got it! This one is all over, courtesy of a slick submission by Soza!
