The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasquez connects with a leg kick.
Gracie tries to clinch up.
Vasquez swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Vasquez throws a leg kick which misses Gracie's front leg but catches the back leg as Gracie tries to avoid it.
Vasquez takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Gracie bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Vasquez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vasquez takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gracie looks to land a body kick but Vasquez moved away.

Vasquez lands a leg kick that knocks Gracie off balance momentarily.

Vasquez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gracie's hands.
Vasquez swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Gracie takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Vasquez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Vasquez catches Gracie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Gracie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Vasquez darts in trying to clinch
and Gracie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Vasquez is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vasquez glances at the clock... BAM! Gracie nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Vasquez crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Vasquez is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
