Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Raymond Donde (ranked 862 p4p, 544 weight class) and Nick Shamrock (ranked 90 p4p, 57 weight class). Shamrock has chosen One Winged Angel by The Black Mages as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 53 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nick Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock thows a body kick. Donde tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A nice combination there by Shamrock.
Shamrock tries to land a front kick but Donde steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Shamrock tries to score with a low kick but Donde moves his leg out of the way.
Shamrock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Donde counters with a shoot takedown. Shamrock fights it but they end up in guard.
Our spies down at at MY YARD Resurrect inform us that Shamrock has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Donde is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shamrock is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shamrock has escaped and now he's on top!

Donde escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shamrock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

and Donde counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shamrock won't be happy with that.

Donde working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Donde swings around for an armbar but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Donde's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shamrock has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Donde is proving hard to escape from.
Donde seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shamrock is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Shamrock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Donde has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shamrock has managed to get both his arms back between Donde's legs - danger averted.

Donde has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shamrock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Shamrock misses with an uppercut. Donde saw that one coming.
Shamrock feints and then cracks Donde's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Donde down.

Donde drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shamrock manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Donde has Shamrock in his guard.

Shamrock stands and steps away. Donde gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Donde uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shamrock.

and Donde decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shamrock's guard.

Shamrock manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nick Shamrock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Donde postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Shamrock is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Donde, into his guard.

Donde is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shamrock defends well.
Raymond Donde overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shamrock rushes Donde and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Donde is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Shamrock piles on the pressure and Donde crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
