Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Stone (ranked 3860 p4p, 2081 weight class) and Bobby Bomstaerk (ranked 356 p4p, 210 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brett Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bobby Bomstaerk! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone fails in his attempt to clinch. Stone looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bomstaerk! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone tries for a kimura but Bomstaerk is defending well. Stone scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bomstaerk to see if he's OK. Bomstaerk is trying to buck Stone off. Bomstaerk is not content to let Stone control the position. Bomstaerk is trying to escape and get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bomstaerk manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Bomstaerk looking for submissions off his back. Stone wants to work for an arm triangle but Bomstaerk is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is looking to take a break and control but Bomstaerk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stone keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Bomstaerk looking for submissions off his back. Bomstaerk is refusing to be controlled, as Stone sits in half guard. Stone prevents Bomstaerk from standing back up.
Bomstaerk is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bomstaerk can do anything to dispel that myth. Bomstaerk looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bomstaerk kicks Stone off and gets back to his feet. Bomstaerk tests Stone's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bomstaerk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stone sprawls well. Stone wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bomstaerk gets slowly back to his feet. Stone looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bomstaerk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stone swivels and escapes. Stone changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Stone shoots in and drives through. Bomstaerk sprawls well. Stone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Stone lands with a good body shot. Stone tries to clinch but Bomstaerk is having none of it. Stone shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bomstaerk is trying to defend but Stone finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Bomstaerk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bomstaerk has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stone is working away from the top position though. Stone is working for a kimura but Bomstaerk is defending it quite comfortably.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Stone looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Bomstaerk gets back to full guard.
Bomstaerk keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully. Stone avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bomstaerk working for a triangle but Stone defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone wants to stand but Bomstaerk is controlling his posture from full guard. Stone working some strikes from top position. Bomstaerk has his feet on Stone's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Stone scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Bomstaerk pushes Stone off and gets back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bomstaerk throws a right and a left that Stone avoids nicely. A momentary lapse in concentration from Bomstaerk enables Stone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bomstaerk manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Stone postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Bomstaerk has his foot on Stone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stone works his way back into a safe position though. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bobby Bomstaerk will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Stone throws the left hand but Bomstaerk avoids the punch easily. Stone closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bomstaerk gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Bomstaerk pushes Stone off looking to stand but Stone dives back in and keeps control.
Bomstaerk makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bomstaerk. Stone lands a couple of elbows. Bomstaerk wants to stand and escape but Stone is having none of it. Stone is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stone would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Bomstaerk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stone manages to get himself to full guard.
Bomstaerk lands a couple of digs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bomstaerk is pushing down on Stone's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stone is fighting to maintain full guard but Bomstaerk has managed to sneak the leg through. Bomstaerk scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Stone is refusing to be controlled, as Bomstaerk sits in half guard. Stone tries to get to full guard but Bomstaerk has control of the leg. Stone is working hard here to advance position. Bomstaerk prevents Stone from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Bomstaerk with a nice head shot there. Stone seems keen to control Bomstaerk's posture. Stone working for a triangle but Bomstaerk defends it easily.
Bomstaerk is working Stone over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Bomstaerk trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Bomstaerk content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Bomstaerk wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bomstaerk manages to get himself to full guard.

Bomstaerk is keeping the position for now. Bomstaerk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stone has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bomstaerk is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Stone presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Stone misses with some punches.

Bomstaerk blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Bomstaerk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Stone just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bomstaerk's brow. Stone misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bomstaerk turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bomstaerk is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stone is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Stone is trying to improve his position. You can see the frustration on Stone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bomstaerk scoring with punches and elbows. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Bobby Bomstaerk will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Bomstaerk stuffs the takedown. Bobby Bomstaerk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bomstaerk throws a low kick, looking for Stone's leg but Stone calmly moves out of range. Bomstaerk lands with a shot to the body. Bomstaerk drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stone throws Bomstaerk to one side and escapes! Bomstaerk shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Good shot there by Bomstaerk. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bomstaerk connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stone momentarily.
Bomstaerk scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Stone doesn't seem bothered though. A jab lands there for Bomstaerk. Stone shoots for a double leg takedown but Bomstaerk sprawls well. He's pushed Stone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bomstaerk scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Bomstaerk is just content to waste time from the top position. Stone takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Stone wants to get back to his feet but Bomstaerk is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bomstaerk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bomstaerk throws a big right hand that misses. Bomstaerk trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Bomstaerk postures up and lands a big shot to Stone's brow. Stone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bomstaerk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stone pulls Bomstaerk in close to prevent any damage. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bomstaerk working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Bomstaerk landing some decent shots from guard. Stone preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bomstaerk advances position into side control! Bomstaerk wants to control but Stone is keeping him busy. Brett Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Stone is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bomstaerk is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bomstaerk cracks Stone with a big elbow. Bomstaerk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bomstaerk wants to control but Stone is keeping him busy. Bobby Bomstaerk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Bomstaerk scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Stone to see if he's OK. Stone throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Stone looks to move to half guard but instead Bomstaerk has passed into mount! Damn! Bomstaerk lands a nice shot to the head. Bomstaerk cracks Stone with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Bomstaerk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Bomstaerk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
