Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Konner Mc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Donte McKenna! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Darius Henderson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenna moves out of range of the strikes. Mc connects with a body shot that sends McKenna's belly button to the back. Mc misses with a right hand and McKenna counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mc won't be happy with that. Mc explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! McKenna clinches. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McKenna lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
McKenna is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. McKenna is controlling the pace.
Mc tries to kick McKenna off but McKenna keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

McKenna is working for a submission of some sort.
McKenna looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McKenna is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mc sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKenna is trying to work for a kimura but Mc is defending well.
McKenna is trying to control the action in half guard but Mc is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKenna is working for a kimura but Mc is defending it quite comfortably.
McKenna stalling. Mc knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McKenna on the ground. Mc is trying to stand up here but McKenna is controlling him well. McKenna is controlling the pace.
McKenna looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McKenna wants to take a breather but Mc is having none of it. McKenna thows a huge punch but Mc dodges it nicely.
Mc slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mc is trying to keep McKenna in close.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McKenna sitting in guard here, content to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Let's hope that McKenna has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Donte McKenna dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McKenna. Mc throws the left hand but McKenna avoids the punch easily. Mc misses with a looping left. McKenna blocks a head kick by Mc.
And McKenna tries to counter it with a takedown but Mc pushes his down on his head and steps out. McKenna shoots in but no luck this time. Mc scores with a hook. We've been informed that McKenna has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. McKenna uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mc. Mc misses with an uppercut. McKenna saw that one coming. McKenna misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Konner Mc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donte McKenna. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mc looks to land a combination but McKenna avoids it well. McKenna fails in his attempt to clinch. McKenna closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left lands for Mc. Mc scores with a head kick. McKenna tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. McKenna dodges the punch combination from Mc.
McKenna is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Good standup being displayed there by Mc as he connects with a hook. McKenna tries to clinch there but Mc circles away.

McKenna changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. McKenna has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mc finds it's way round the side to connect with McKenna's head. Mc throws the left hand but McKenna avoids the punch easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McKenna is defended easily by Mc. Mc throws a combination that misses and McKenna counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Mc is looking to escape. McKenna trying to control the action but Mc is working from the bottom. McKenna is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mc sees it coming and defends easily. McKenna wants to pass the guard but Mc is defending well. McKenna is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
McKenna maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mc could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but McKenna has cracked it and Mc is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by McKenna!
