Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Asakura (ranked 2515 p4p, 6143 weight class) and Joe Higgins (ranked 345 p4p, 575 weight class). Asakura comes to the cage accompanied by JJBA - Giorno's Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Asakura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Higgins!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Higgins's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Asakura connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Higgins scrambles back to his feet.
Asakura is looking to slow Higgins down with leg kicks.

Asakura is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Higgins's half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Higgins manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Asakura on his heels. He'll look to pass Asakura's guard now, I'm sure.

Asakura is looking to advance position but Higgins won't allow it.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyson Asakura will probably get the nod.
