Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jett Denovan (ranked 1879 p4p, 3072 weight class) and Fedor Petrov (ranked 234 p4p, 370 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Petrov's choice of entrance music: They want too see me fall. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jett Denovan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Petrov both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Jett Denovan has been cut.
Petrov misses with a jab to the body
and Denovan counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Petrov is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Denovan dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Denovan connects with a nice short shot to Petrov's temple.

Petrov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Denovan pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Denovan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Petrov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Denovan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Petrov can do to turn this around?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
