Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abubakar Camara (ranked 151 p4p, 343 weight class) and Bubba Wallace (ranked 25 p4p, 56 weight class). Wallace has chosen Hound Dog as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abubakar Camara!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubba Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace misses with a hook

and Camara counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Camara has gone for a leg lock! Wallace slips out almost immediately though and dives into Camara's guard.


Camara escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wallace gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Camara is trying to keep Wallace in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wallace wants to stand but Camara is controlling his posture from full guard.

Camara has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wallace can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wallace avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Camara has his foot on Wallace's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wallace works his way back into a safe position though.
Camara pulls Wallace in close to prevent any damage.

Wallace got a little sloppy there for a moment and Camara has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wallace has managed to get both his arms back between Camara's legs - danger averted.
My spies in Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts inform me that Wallace has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Camara controls Wallace momentarily but Wallace frees himself.

Wallace wants to stand but Camara is controlling his posture from full guard.

Camara is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wallace defends well.

Camara working for submissions but it's allowed Wallace to get to half guard.
Camara is positioning himself well to prevent Wallace advancing to mount.

Wallace seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Camara actively working from the bottom here.
Camara is looking to improve his position.

Wallace decides to stand and escape the position.
Wallace fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Camara manages to avoid it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Wallace thows a left - swing and a miss!
Wallace misses with a double jab

and Camara decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wallace's guard.
Camara sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wallace's guard.

Camara is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wallace defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Camara is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wallace has managed to free his arm - good work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wallace can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wallace is trying to control but can't.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Abubakar Camara dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Wallace lands the left hand.

Camara closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wallace's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Wallace manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Camara fails to pull guard.
Camara misses with a hook to the ribs.
Camara doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Camara has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Wallace avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Camara tries to throw a body punch but Wallace avoids it by throwing Camara back against the cage.
Camara prevents Wallace from breaking the clinch.
Wallace blocking some punches.

Camara fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Wallace lands a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wallace lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Camara.

Camara decides to pull guard.
Camara trying to keep a closed guard but Wallace is proving a slippery customer.
Camara is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Camara is looking for a triangle but Wallace pushes his legs off easily.
Wallace would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Wallace stands up and waves to Camara to follow him.
Nice sprawl there from Wallace as Camara shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Abubakar Camara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace throws a left and a right that both miss
and Camara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Wallace steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Camara.
Wallace throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Camara blocks a jab.
Wallace misses the shot to the body.
Camara misses with a wild body shot.
Wallace swings widly with a right hand
and Camara counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Camara shoots in looking for a takedown but Wallace manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Camara's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Wallace uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Camara seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Wallace dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wallace displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Camara.
A little jabbing left from Wallace on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Bubba Wallace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Camara looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Wallace looking for a sweep. Not yet Wallace, not yet.
Wallace keeping moving, preventing Camara from controlling successfully.
Wallace is controlling Camara's posture.
Camara engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Camara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Camara is working hard here to advance position.
Camara wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.

Camara drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wallace looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wallace looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wallace!

Camara is trying to control Wallace's posture but Wallace avoids it.
Camara manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Bubba Wallace will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

A looping hook to the body misses from Wallace. Camara does a little dance to reset his feet.
Camara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wallace was well out of range. Poor timing from Camara.
Camara ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
An attempted straight right counter from Camara misses the target.
Camara just misses with a punch to the body.
Wallace throws the left hand but Camara avoids the punch easily.
Wallace misses with a lunging right hand
and Camara counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Camara avoids the body shot from Wallace.
Bubba Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallace throws a hook but Camara avoids it easily.
Wallace throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Camara stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Camara uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wallace.
Wallace throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Wallace tests Camara's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wallace misses with an uppercut. Camara saw that one coming.

Wallace cracks Camara with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Camara looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Wallace finish him?
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wallace connects with a body shot.
A swing and a miss from Wallace.
Wallace misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Camara ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Wallace is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wallace fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bubba Wallace seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Wallace lands a left and a right that send Camara crashing to the mat, dazed. Wallace thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Camara is rocked!
Wallace fakes the body blow, causing Camara to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Camara goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bubba Wallace!
Bubba Wallace is the new heavyweight champion!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Bubba Wallace waved his t-shirt featuring Brooklyn Apothecary's logo in front of the cameras.
