Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Itchy Sinclair (ranked 1475 p4p, 1199 weight class) and Stanislav Saprykin (ranked 212 p4p, 174 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Itchy Sinclair!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stanislav Saprykin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saprykin misses with a leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sinclair. Saprykin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Saprykin throws a hook but Sinclair avoids it easily.

Sinclair changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Saprykin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Sinclair looks up at the clock and then as Saprykin takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sinclair smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Sinclair lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Saprykin down.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sinclair's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Saprykin is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sinclair is looking to take a break and control but Saprykin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sinclair is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Saprykin's shoulder. That is not cool.
Sinclair wants to control but Saprykin is keeping him busy.
Sinclair has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Saprykin tries to buck Sinclair off but Sinclair is having none of it.
Saprykin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sinclair asserts his dominance and retains side control.
You can see the frustration on Saprykin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Saprykin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sinclair has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Saprykin is looking to regain half guard here but Sinclair keeps moving and retains side control.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Saprykin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A head kick from Saprykin lands but Sinclair takes it in his stride.
Saprykin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Saprykin takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Sinclair fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saprykin avoids it really well and circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Saprykin tries a head kick but it misses.
Sinclair looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saprykin is fending him off so far but Sinclair persists. Nope, Saprykin circles away and we're back to standing.

and Sinclair counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saprykin won't be happy with that.

Sinclair goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Saprykin rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sinclair's guard! Nice work there by Saprykin!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sinclair closes the distance and clinches up with Saprykin, looking for a takedown. Sinclair pushes Saprykin against the cage but Saprykin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Stanislav Saprykin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Saprykin throws out a loose jab but Sinclair uses good head movement to avoid it.
Saprykin throws an overhand right that lands on Sinclair's shoulder, as Sinclair tries to avoid the shot.
Saprykin takes a swing at Sinclair's ribcage but misses.
Sinclair throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sinclair blocks a head kick by Saprykin.
Saprykin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saprykin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sinclair's head.
Sinclair staying out of range there.
Saprykin lands a right hook to the body.
Saprykin lunges at Sinclair with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sinclair's hand.
Sinclair throws a right and a left that both miss.
Saprykin is looking to land body kicks.
Sinclair throws a body punch but Saprykin moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saprykin misses with an uppercut. Sinclair saw that one coming.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

and Sinclair cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Sinclair tries for a takedown but Saprykin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck for Sinclair with that takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Saprykin! But no joy.

Sinclair takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Saprykin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sinclair lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
The crowd cheers as Sinclair lands an impressive looking overhand right. Saprykin doesn't seem phased though.
Sinclair takes a jab right on the kisser.
Saprykin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A quick step to the side and Sinclair tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sinclair tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saprykin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sinclair somewhat.

and Sinclair counters with a single leg into guard. Saprykin didn't expect that.
Saprykin wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sinclair manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sinclair is trying to control. Saprykin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Sinclair is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sinclair is nestled in close to Saprykin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sinclair not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Saprykin is refusing to be controlled, as Sinclair sits in half guard.
Sinclair is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Sinclair lands a big elbow - Saprykin is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Sinclair!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Itchy Sinclair!
A relieved looking Itchy Sinclair thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
