The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riker throws a jab but it's blocked by Rodriquez.
Riker pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rodriquez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Riker is fending him off so far but Rodriquez persists. Nope, Riker circles away and we're back to standing.
Riker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Riker just misses with a punch to the body.
Rodriquez dives in and grabs Riker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Riker pushes down on Rodriquez's head and hops out.
Riker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Riker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rodriquez's head backwards.

It looks like Nick Rodriquez has been cut.
Riker misses with a shot to the body
and Rodriquez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rodriquez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Rodriquez is trying to stall.
Rodriquez has a couple of punches blocked by Riker.

Riker breaks the clinch.
A swing and a miss from Riker.
Riker scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
