The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Mazzariello or perhaps it was just good defense by Berwick, which made it look bad.
Mazzariello gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Berwick counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Mazzariello down! Berwick is looking to finish but Mazzariello is intelligently defending himself.
Mazzariello is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berwick loads up on a big left hand. Mazzariello felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Berwick looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mazzariello can't hide his disappointment, as Berwick celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeffery Berwick!
