Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ovidio Kiran (ranked 186 p4p, 288 weight class) and Aaron Wolf (ranked 33 p4p, 48 weight class). Kiran comes to the cage accompanied by Katmandu. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ovidio Kiran!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiran throws a right hand that misses
and Wolf counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kiran thinking.
Wolf tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kiran is able to avoid easily.
Wolf uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kiran.
Kiran throws a combination that misses
and Wolf counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kiran misses with a straight left.
Kiran lands with a nice body punch.
Kiran tries to work over Wolf's front leg with a kick but Wolf checks it.
Wolf swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Kiran thows a left - swing and a miss!

Wolf lands a big right hand that sends Kiran crashing to the mat! Wolf stays standing though and waves Kiran back to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We've been told by Kiran's head coaches at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kiran throws the left hand but Wolf avoids the punch easily.

and Wolf makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kiran really felt that one!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Ovidio Kiran will probably get the nod.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Kiran might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
