Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Strasburg (ranked 1505 p4p, 1447 weight class) and Domaydo Cann (ranked 206 p4p, 200 weight class). Strasburg comes into the arena with The Red - Chevelle blaring out of the sound system. Domaydo Cann has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patrick Strasburg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Domaydo Cann! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strasburg feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cann throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Strasburg works a leg free and moves into half guard. Cann is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Strasburg pulls his head out easily. Strasburg slows the pace down in half guard. Strasburg tries to pass to full mount but Cann defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strasburg performing his best blanket impression for a moment. That's one minute gone in the round. Strasburg looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Strasburg passes to side control. Strasburg working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Cann is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Strasburg thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Strasburg tries for a kimura but Cann is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cann tries to get back to half guard but can't. Strasburg advances to full mount. Strasburg is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cann to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cann shrugs it off. Cann is trying to escape the mount.

Cann is squirming around, avoiding Strasburg's attempts to control the action. Cann regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strasburg is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cann defends it well. Cann regains full guard. Nicely done. Strasburg advances position into side control! Cann is looking to regain half guard here but Strasburg keeps moving and retains side control. Strasburg tries for a kimura but Cann is defending well. Strasburg moves into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cann is in all sorts of trouble here.
Strasburg is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Cann is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Cann flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Strasburg anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Cann and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Strasburg slips an arm under Cann chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Strasburg has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Strasburg is squeezing on Cann like an anaconda would it's prey. Cann fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
