Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardinho Pfeifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucinaldo Timotio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardinho Pfeifer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucinaldo Timotio! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Pfeifer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pfeifer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Timotio swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lucinaldo Timotio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pfeifer fails to land with a series of punches.
Pfeifer throws a nice inside leg kick. Timotio wants to clinch and Pfeifer counters with a series of strikes. Timotio will be more careful next time no doubt. Timotio looks gassed! Pfeifer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pfeifer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Timotio sprawls well initially but Pfeifer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Timotio blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pfeifer. Pfeifer performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Timotio tries to roll over but Pfeifer keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pfeifer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Timotio knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pfeifer works his way into full mount! Timotio is in a horrible position here. Pfeifer smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Poor strikes thrown by Pfeifer there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pfeifer throws some wild stikes that Timotio manages to avoid easily.
Pfeifer trying to control but Timotio is having none of it. Pfeifer content just to control the position here. Timotio wants to control but Pfeifer is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pfeifer controlling from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pfeifer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Pfeifer scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Timotio is squirming around, avoiding Pfeifer's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pfeifer controlling the position easily from mount.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Ricardinho Pfeifer just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Timotio fails with the takedown and Pfeifer counters with a nice body shot. Pfeifer doesn't manage to clinch there - Timotio circles away.
Pfeifer throws a right hand that Timotio ducks under and follows up with a left that Timotio also avoids with ease. Timotio fails with the takedown and Pfeifer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Timotio's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardinho Pfeifer dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Timotio moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A left and a right from Pfeifer both land. Nice combination. Pfeifer misses with a takedown attempt - Timotio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Timotio swats away the attempt to clinch by Pfeifer. and Pfeifer counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Timotio drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Timotio trying to control the position from guard on top but Pfeifer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pfeifer keeping full guard, as Timotio tries to pass. Timotio wants to control from the top but Pfeifer keeps moving. Pfeifer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pfeifer working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pfeifer is trying to keep Timotio in close.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pfeifer throws a right hand that Timotio ducks under and follows up with a left that Timotio also avoids with ease. Timotio with a poor takedown and Pfeifer counters with a one-two to the body. Timotio shoots and misses and Pfeifer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Timotio is trying to control but Pfeifer passes into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pfeifer is looking to take a break and control but Timotio is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Timotio is trying to get back to his feet. Pfeifer staying calm. Pfeifer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Timotio for as long as he can get away with.

Timotio tries to buck Pfeifer off but Pfeifer is having none of it. Timotio is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pfeifer has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pfeifer's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pfeifer duly obliges. Pfeifer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Timotio paws at him with a jab and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricardinho Pfeifer dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Pfeifer throws a right and a left that both miss. Pfeifer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Timotio circles away. Timotio shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Pfeifer counter with a right hand. Timotio gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Pfeifer wants to stand but Timotio is controlling his posture from full guard. Pfeifer trying to control the position from guard on top but Timotio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Timotio lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pfeifer! Timotio lands with some strikes. Ricardinho Pfeifer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pfeifer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Timotio is adopting a defensive guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Timotio looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pfeifer is one step ahead there. Timotio working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pfeifer looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Pfeifer trying to control but Timotio is working from the bottom. Pfeifer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Timotio has his hands on Pfeifer's head, controlling the position. Pfeifer throws a strike but Timotio rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Timotio trying to control the position from guard on top but Pfeifer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pfeifer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Pfeifer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Timotio's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pfeifer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pfeifer stops Timotio from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Ricardinho Pfeifer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Pfeifer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
